Our journey started almost 70 years ago as JH Minet Company. In 1997 Aon, the leading global provider of risk management, human resource consulting and outsourcing, acquired the U.K. shareholder, London Minet, as part of their African expansion strategy. As a result, the company became Aon Minet, and subsequently Aon. In 2017 private equity firm Capitalworks acquired Aon’s shareholding in several African operations, alongside local shareholders including governments in many markets, which has created what is now Aon’s largest Global Network Correspondent.

LEADERSHIP
Humphrey Kabwe
Managing Director
Humphrey Kabwe is Managing Director at Minet Zambia. Humphrey was the Managing Director in the previous entity Aon Zambia and has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, both locally and internationally. Humphrey is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of the UK and a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Zambia.
Francis Sibaanga
Chief Broking Officer
Francis Sibaanga is Chief Broking Officer at Minet Zambia. Francis was previously Chief Broking Officer at Aon Zambia and has 26 years of experience in the insurance industry with 13 years spent at Aon. His qualifications include a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Lusaka and an Advanced Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute of the UK. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of the UK and a Chartered Insurance Broker.
Patrick Kalifungwa
Chief Financial Officer
Patrick Kalifungwa is Chief Financial Officer at Minet Zambia. Patrick was previously Chief Financial Officer at Aon Risk Solutions and has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, 5 of which were spent at Aon/Minet. He holds an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants qualification from the Zambia Centre for Accounting and is a Certified International Financial Reporting Standards Specialist from the International Academy of Business and Financial Management. Patrick is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Vilunjike Mphande
Regional Chief Commercial Officer
Vilunjike Mphande is Regional Chief Commercial Officer at Minet Zambia. Vilunjike previously served as Copperbelt Manager at Minet Zambia and before that, as an Account Executive at Marsh Zambia. Furthermore, he is a chartered insurance practitioner of the UK with 17 years of international experience in the insurance industry, 5 years of which were spent at Aon/ Minet.
